IN YOUR ROOM

In Your Room explores loneliness and isolation between people living in the city.
A room is a private space, but also a boundary. We live in rooms close to one another, sharing the same city, the same night, and countless moments of passing by — yet each of us remains enclosed within our own lives.
In these works, figures often appear alone in enclosed interiors. They wait, remain silent, gaze outward, or simply stay with their own bodies and thoughts. Windows, walls, furniture and light form an uncertain boundary between themselves and the world outside.
A city brings countless people together, but being close does not necessarily mean being connected.
Everyone has a room of their own.
Some rooms are built with walls.
Others exist within us.
In Your Room is about this contradiction: we are so close, yet so far apart. We long for connection, yet continually retreat into spaces of our own.
The room protects us.
And it keeps us apart.
