WHO THE FUCK IS MR.ZHUPITER?

X. 一个总是戴着面具，喜欢说谎话，但是那些谎话都十分蹩脚只能欺骗他自己的家伙，据说会弹贝斯，但仅限于根音。是谭天根据他另一个朋友的人格结合了“超时髦”乐队主唱戴夫.戈翰的外表创作的虚拟角色.
X. A guy perpetually behind a mask, fond of telling lies so clumsy they fool no one but himself. Rumor has it he plays the bass—though strictly limited to root notes. He is a virtual character created by Tan Tian, merging the personality of another friend with the aesthetic likeness of Dave Gahan, the frontman of Depeche Mode.

13. 胖子、暖男，一个爱心泛滥但总是交不到女朋友的家伙，会敲鼓，但有时候也敲人。是谭天根据他一个朋友的外形与人格创造的虚拟角色。
13. A big guy and a sweetheart with an overflowing heart who somehow never manages to get a girlfriend. He plays the drums—though occasionally, he knocks people around instead. He is a virtual character created by Tan Tian, based on the likeness and personality of a real-life friend.

THE ZHUPITER CREW
猪比特军团

猪比特君、13叔和X，是由谭天创造的三个虚拟人物，也是生活在PLANETPARK世界中的“虚拟艺术家”。
他们并不是现实人物的简单卡通化，而是从真实的人格、欲望、缺点与经历中提取出来，再经过虚构和放大之后形成的另一种身份。
猪比特君自称 “行星公园文艺阵线特攻总长”。他是一个没能成为摇滚明星、最后却成为艺术家的家伙；13叔拥有过剩的爱，却始终解决不了自己的感情问题；X躲在面具后面不断说谎，却往往只能骗到自己。
他们并不完美。
他们自恋、孤独、荒诞、幼稚、虚荣，也经常失败。
而正是这些不完美，让他们拥有了真实的人格。

Zhupiter, Uncle 13 and X are three virtual characters created by Tan Tian — “virtual artists” who inhabit the world of PLANETPARK.
They are not simply cartoon versions of real people. Their identities are drawn from real personalities, desires, flaws and experiences, then fictionalized and amplified into something new.
Zhupiter calls himself “Commander-in-Chief of the PLANETPARK Culture&artistic front” He is a guy who dreamed of becoming a rock star, but somehow ended up becoming an artist instead.
Uncle 13 has more love than he knows what to do with, yet somehow never manages to find a girlfriend.
X hides behind a mask and constantly tells lies — though his lies are usually so bad that the only person he manages to fool is himself.
They are far from perfect.
They are narcissistic, lonely, absurd, childish and vain. They fail — often.
And it is precisely these imperfections that make them feel real.

VIRTUAL ARTISTS
虚拟艺术家

对于PLANETPARK而言，“虚拟艺术家”并不是一个被设计出来代言产品的IP形象。
他们首先是艺术创作本身的一部分。
谭天将现实中的人物与人格转化为虚拟角色，再让这些角色拥有自己的身份、关系、观点与故事。他们可以出现在绘画、漫画和出版物中，也可以进入动画、音乐、服装、产品、展览和现实空间。
有时候，他们甚至可以代替艺术家本人说话。
在漫画《理解了朋克摇滚，就理解了现代艺术》中，猪比特君、13叔和X成为故事的主人公。三个并不怎么靠谱的人，在不断的争论、吹牛、吐槽与胡说八道中，讨论朋克摇滚、现代艺术以及他们眼中的世界。
艺术家创造角色。
角色开始思考。
然后，他们拥有了自己的世界。

For PLANETPARK, a “virtual artist” is not simply an IP character designed to promote products.
They are, first and foremost, part of the artistic practice itself.
Tan Tian transforms real people and personalities into virtual characters, giving them their own identities, relationships, perspectives and stories. They can appear in paintings, comics and publications, and move into animation, music, clothing, products, exhibitions and physical spaces.
Sometimes, they can even speak on behalf of the artist himself.
In the comic If You Understand Punk Rock, You Understand Modern Art, Zhupiter, Uncle 13 and X become the protagonists. Three not-entirely-reliable characters argue, brag, complain and talk nonsense as they discuss punk rock, modern art, and the world as they see it.
The artist creates the characters.
The characters begin to think.
Then, they create a world of their own.

FROM IMAGE TO CHARACTER
从图像到人格

如果说PLANETPARK让一件艺术作品从画布进入物、身体、空间与城市，那么猪比特军团代表的是另一条路径：
图像 → 人物 → 人格 → 故事 → 世界
图像不再只是一个被观看的视觉符号。
它可以拥有名字，可以说话，可以争吵，可以组乐队，可以表达观点，甚至可以拥有一段与创造它的艺术家不同的人生。
因此，猪比特军团不是PLANETPARK系统之外附加的一组角色。
他们本身就是这个系统继续生长的结果。
If PLANETPARK allows an artwork to move beyond the canvas and into objects, bodies, spaces and cities, the Zhupiter Crew represents another path:
IMAGE → CHARACTER → PERSONALITY → STORY → WORLD
An image is no longer simply a visual symbol to be looked at.
It can have a name. It can speak, argue, form a band, express opinions, and even live a life different from that of the artist who created it.
The Zhupiter Crew, therefore, is not a group of characters added onto the PLANETPARK system.
They are the result of the system continuing to grow.

行星公园 × 虚拟艺术家

PLANETPARK是现实世界与艺术世界之间的接口，而虚拟艺术家让这个接口拥有了人格。
艺术作品可以变成产品，产品可以进入人的生活；同样，艺术家的思想也可以变成人物，人物可以进入故事、漫画、动画、音乐与流行文化。
未来，猪比特君、13叔和X可以继续存在于不同媒介之中——漫画可以成为动画，人物可以拥有音乐，虚拟乐队可以拥有自己的作品，故事也可以不断产生新的故事。
他们甚至不必永远依赖创造他们的艺术家。
因为一个真正形成的人物，最终应该拥有继续生长的可能。
PLANETPARK创造的不只是东西。
它也创造人物、故事和世界。

PLANETPARK is an interface between the world of art and the real world. Virtual artists give that interface a personality.
An artwork can become a product, and a product can enter everyday life. In the same way, an artist’s ideas can become characters, and those characters can move into stories, comics, animation, music and popular culture.
In the future, Zhupiter, Uncle 13 and X can continue to exist across different forms of media — comics can become animation, characters can create music, a virtual band can release work of its own, and one story can give rise to another.
They may not even need to depend forever on the artist who created them.
Because once a character truly comes to life, it should have the possibility to keep growing on its own.
PLANETPARK doesn’t just create things.
It creates characters, stories and worlds.
